Operation and Maintenance (O&M)

In addition to designing and constructing remediation systems, ERI is uniquely qualified to operate and maintain these systems. Our in-house coordination ensures a seamless transition from our engineering and construction teams to our O&M management and technician teams. ERI has performed O&M services for over 225 systems since 1989, and currently operates more than 80 remedial systems in the United States.

ERI O&M service groups operate at each individual office to provide reliable, cost-effective service at local project sites. The group is assisted by ERI's internal construction personnel and electricians that perform extensive troubleshooting, system retrofits, and equipment transportation and installation, allowing O&M technicians to maximize the operating system's runtime. ERI's engineering groups perform optimization analysis of systems as well as new design and systems modification in support of O&M.

ERI's many years of providing O&M service has resulted in the development of troubleshooting manuals for specific equipment that is used on a routine basis. The collected knowledge of the equipment allows us to increase runtime and extend the longevity of capital equipment while minimizing the potential of permit violations from equipment failures.

ERI also optimizes the data collection process through the use of personal digital assistants (PDAs) and portable computer technologies for on-site capture of data. This process provides better quality reports by removing transcription errors and allowing us to rapidly upload field data.
