Phase 3 Remedial Action Programs
ERI personnel are experienced in developing and implementing a variety of practical, cost-effective, environmentally sound solutions to soil and groundwater contamination problems. Our staff members have experience in identifying and analyzing potential remedial measures applicable to:
For environmental projects, ERI evaluates remedial alternatives and selects the most appropriate remedial measure by balancing the overall project costs with the potential risks to human health and environment. In addition, ERI evaluates the technical feasibility, regulatory constraints, permitting, duration, space constraints, capital cost, maintenance fees, and consumable costs. Upon selection of a remedial measure, ERI conducts feasibility testing and gathers data necessary to estimate construction and operating costs. ERI then obtains permits based on your standard design, and provides turnkey construction services. ERI has conducted soil excavations and has installed numerous remediation systems using techniques including: soil vapor extraction, air sparging, groundwater pump and treat, oxidizing agent injection, air stripping, carbon adsorption, thermal/catalytic oxidizers, internal combustion engines, bioremediation cells, and fluidized bed bioreactors. Upon completion of the system installation, ERI prepares a site-specific operation and maintenance program to evaluate the performance and thereby optimize the effectiveness of the system.
ERI believes in identifying potential remedial actions at the earliest possible date during the subsurface investigation. In this way, the need to provide a last-minute investigation to gather pertinent data can be avoided, thereby reducing overall project cost while at the same time increasing overall project quality.
