Phase 2 Subsurface Environmental Investigations
The primary objective of conducting subsurface environmental investigations for real property is to: (1) document the presence or absence of unauthorized hazardous substances/waste releases, (2) delineate the extent of past and present contaminant migration and concentrations in soil and groundwater, and (3) determine site-specific hydrogeologic data for assessing risk and potential remedial action alternatives. ERI's staff has extensive experience in conducting a variety of Phase 2 soil, vapor, and groundwater investigations.
Our capabilities include the following:
ERI has successfully managed subsurface projects ranging from small underground storage tank investigations to large multidisciplinary remedial action/feasibility studies.
ERI conducts subsurface investigations in accordance with current regulatory protocols and requirementsand the constantly changing industry standards. In addition, ERI's internal Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) program documents and reviews all techniques used to obtain, preserve, and ship samples for laboratory analysis. ERI's QA/QC program integrates the field and laboratory sampling and analysis activities by providing the field program with chain-of-custody documentation, and when necessary, documented blanks, spikes, splits, and standards.
Once a subsurface investigation has been completed, ERI can help coordinate the proper transportation and disposal of any waste materials generated.
