Lake Forest's Environmental Resolutions Inc. Gains Global Foothold
The Consulting Firm's Merger with Austrailia-based Cardno Limited Bolsters its Range of Services

The Lake Forest-based consulting firm Environmental Resolutions Inc. – or ERI – and Australia-based Cardno Limited have merged, bolstering both companies’ global presence and portfolio of services.

ERI has a staff of 155 engineers, geologists, chemists and other professionals who provide consulting services throughout the U.S. on matters such as environmental assessments, groundwater monitoring and sampling, and wastewater engineering.

Cardno provides civil and structural engineering, international development assistance, transportation, marine, project management and planning services around the globe, including the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Kenya, Sri Lanka, China and the United Arab Emirates.

"The potential synergistic benefits from our combined firms are enormous for our staff, our clients and our financial performance," said ERI President Steve Zigan.

The merger will allow ERI to expand internationally and assist in the building efforts of developing nations and countries affected by natural disasters and conflict.

“Our motivation to seek a partnership with an international firm like Cardno was three-fold: first, to provide our clients with a wider range of services and locations; second, to provide our talented staff with additional opportunities for career development; and third, to accelerate the growth of ERI across the US and overseas,” Zigan said.
